Meet Sue Smith
Sue Smith joins HomeTeam Equity as the Flagship Office’s Branch Manager with over 23 years of experience in the mortgage industry. Sue began her career with Alliance Mortgage in 1985 and after quickly moving up the corporate ladder; Sue saw an opportunity to join Pinnacle Financial Corporation 1991. Mrs. Smith immediately became a key player and 11 years later had seen her efforts propel Pinnacle from $20MM per month in residential mortgage originations to over $700MM per month. Sue then lent her talents to Fidelity Funding Mortgage Corporation from 2002 to 2006, and just prior to bringing her expertise to HomeTeam Equity, Sue owned her own mortgage company, Bent Oak Mortgage, from 2006 until mid 2008.

Sue has extensive experience in all phases of mortgage lending, including underwriting, closing, processing, secondary marketing and loan origination, with an emphasis on management. The relationships she has developed in the mortgage industry bring many exciting opportunities to the table. Her ability to think “outside the box” and use her creativity, contacts and knowledge to help our customers get the home loan they deserve is a great asset to our company. Sue has survived through many challenging markets and will use those experiences to lead our Maitland team.

Sue has been married for 19 years and has three lovely daughters. Sue enjoys spending time with family & friends, camping and traveling.

Meet Karyn Allison – Senior Processor
Karyn began her career in banking 1991 with BB&T, one of the largest banks in North Carolina. She immediately moved into their mortgage division processing for over 20 manufactured home sales centers throughout North and South Carolina. After moving to Florida in 1998, she quickly landed a position with SunTrust Mortgage and then moved on to Pinnacle Financial where she established the closing department for their new wholesale lending division Tri-Star Lending Group. There she closed over 120 loans a month prior to joining HomeTeam in 2004 as a Senior Loan Processor. This experience in processing and closing government, conventional and construction loans allows Karyn to offer HTE clients the best service whether refinancing or purchasing a home.

Meet Melissa Barry
Melissa joins HomeTeam Equity as a graduate of The University of Phoenix with a BS in Business Management. She has been a resident of Central Florida for the past 30 years and has been in the financial industry for over 15 years. Melissa has excelled in helping individuals realize the dream of home ownership throughout her financial career. “”Purchasing a home is one of the most important investments that an individual will ever make and managing this process for each and every client is my top priority. I see my primary role as helping my clients integrate the mortgage loan they select into their overall long and short term goals”, said Melissa.

Mrs. Barry is a graduate of Leadership Winter Park Class XVII and a member of the Leadership Winter Park Alumni Council. She is also a past graduate of Leadership Orlando Class 62. Melissa also served 3 years on the Downtown Orlando Partnership Board and served on the Executive Committee for one year. She is a consistent volunteer for Easter Seals of Central Florida and Special Olympics of Central Florida.

Melissa has been married to her husband, Todd, for 7 years and has two children ages 14 and 12. They enjoy traveling to Florida State football games, spring snow skiing, and visiting beautiful beach resorts during the summer. In addition, Melissa has a love for animals and currently owns two beautiful Golden Retrievers.

Meet Ben Becker – Senior Loan Officer
Ben is a seasoned mortgage advisor who for the last ten years has focused on providing financial solutions to life issues relating to housing. His relationship oriented approach to the mortgage industry has allowed Ben to network with professionals across the country offering significant insight regarding national and international economic issues that can affect both lenders and borrowers. This thirst and pursuit of industry knowledge certainly qualifies Mr. Becker as an industry expert. Ben firmly believes in putting back into his community, evidenced by the following affiliations: current Board Member, Membership Chairperson and Ambassador to the Winter Park Chamber; he holds the same positions with the Winter Park Rotary. An avid outdoorsman, Ben is a member of the Backcountry Fly-fishing Association and Captain of Winter Park Rascals Fishing Team.

Meet Charlie Bennett – Senior Loan Officer
Mr. Bennett uses a consultative approach when working with his clients by looking at the overall financial situation and goals along with specific borrowing requirements. Leaning on thirty-plus years of real estate, investment and lending experience, Charlie may then offer his client the loan product that best fits; not only with today’s goals but for the long term as well.

I have known Charlie for quite a few years and working with someone you know, like and trust in mortgage financing is paramount. I know when I refer clients to him, whether they are a first time homebuyer or seasoned buyer, he always has my clients’ best interest in mind and truly cares.

Pam Crowley - Senior Loan Officer
Pam Crowley joins Home Team Equity as a Senior Loan Officer specializing in residential lending for over twenty years. Pam has assisted over 4500 families in finding "just the right loan" for their home purchase. As one of the top loan officers for HomeTeam Equity, Pam represents a myriad of financing products for primary residences, second homes and investment properties. Miss Crowley’s experience covers residential mortgage origination and up until joining HTE, Pam personally processed all of her loans to insure that her customers received the very best service available. Pam has always strived to bring the very best in products and service combined with a wealth of industry knowledge to customers before, during and even after the completion of the loan process. In today's turbulent market, it is difficult to find a highly skilled mortgage professional with strong leadership, management, and interpersonal skills. Hector Gonzalez is a dedicated listener and accomplished problem solver, always seeking to assist clients in accomplishing their financial mission. Hector’s sincerity and effort invested on each client’s behalf consistently builds an immediate sense of trust and confidence. Successful for over twenty solid years in banking, insurance and management of for profit and non-profit organizations, Hector’s clients never doubt his caring nature and willingness to operate in their best interests.

Meet Christina Kelly – Senior Loan Officer
Christina knows the mortgage business from every perspective. Her experience is diverse and extensive having worked two years as a closing/post-closing specialist for one of Orlando’s largest wholesale lenders with another five years dedicated to loan processing. In this role, Christina was the key person responsible for coordinating loan approval documents; working side by side with several loan officers simultaneously managing dozens of loans. Add an outgoing personality constantly developing real relationships with key bank underwriters, title companies and top appraisers across Central Florida and you have the definition of a successful loan officer.

Mr. Rivadeneira’s success comes from the firm commitment to his faith and the ministry of helping others.
